How Rankings Work
VcodingList ranks products based on real community activity, not launch dates or lifetime popularity. Any product can rise again with new engagement.
Rankings are based on activity within calendar periods that reset automatically.
- New Today shows only products launched today — resets at midnight UTC
- Weekly resets every Monday at midnight UTC (default tab)
- Top products of each period can earn awards and badges
The Four Rankings
Only products launched today (00:00 - 23:59 UTC), sorted by upvotes
Shows only products published today, ranked by upvotesThe showcase for new launches. Resets at midnight UTC. Old products never appear here.
All products with upvotes this week (Mon - Sun). New and old products compete equally.
weekly_score = upvotes received this weekResets every Monday at midnight UTC. Top product wins "Product of the Week".
All products with upvotes this month
monthly_score = upvotes this monthResets on the 1st of each month. Top product wins "Product of the Month".
All products with upvotes this year

New Today
- • Only products launched today
- • Old products never appear
- • Best place to discover fresh launches
Weekly / Monthly / Yearly
- • Any product with upvotes in the period
- • Old products can climb back up
- • Must have at least 1 upvote to appear
To keep the platform fair and high-quality, launches are limited:
- 1 product per day per user
- 3 products per week per user (Mon–Sun)
- 30 free launches per day platform-wide
If daily platform slots are full, your product is queued and launches automatically at 00:00 UTC the next day. All limits reset at midnight UTC (weekly limits reset on Monday).
Example: How It Works
Imagine a product that:
- 1Was launched 2 weeks ago
- 2This week received 12 upvotes
- 3Today received 3 of those upvotes
Result:
The product wasn't launched today, so it doesn't appear in New Today — but it competes in Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly based on upvotes received in those periods.
What You See
On ranking tabs:
- Total upvotes on the button
- Period upvotes below (e.g., "5 today")
On product page:
- • Total lifetime upvotes
- • All comments
- • Launch date
- • Full product details

At the end of each period, the top 3 products automatically receive awards:

- Weekly: Awards granted every Monday for the previous week
- Monthly: Awards granted on the 1st for the previous month
- Yearly: Awards granted on January 1st for the previous year
