Submission Tips
- Tagline: Be specific, not generic. Say what it does and for whom
- Description: What it does, who it's for, why it's different
- Screenshots: Show different features with real data
- Short video (optional): Upload a 60s demo — products with shorts get the most visibility
Make a Short Video
Products with shorts get significantly more visibility. They appear in the Shorts carousel on the homepage, on the /shorts page, and winners with shorts get pushed to our social media channels.
These are just tips — feel free to improvise and find your own style. There's no single right way to make a great short.
- Hook in first 3 seconds — grab attention immediately, then show what your product does
- Show the product in action — real usage, not slides or talking heads
- Vertical 9:16 format — record on phone or crop desktop footage
- Add text overlays — many people watch on mute. Make key points readable

Optional but powerful. Add a YouTube URL for an in-depth walkthrough alongside your Short.
- 2-5 minutes — long enough to show value, short enough to keep attention
- Structure: Problem → Solution → Demo → Results
- Show your face (optional) — people trust makers they can see
After Launch
- Share your VcodingList launch link on X, LinkedIn, and Discord communities
- Ask for honest feedback, not just upvotes
- Engage with commenters on your product page
- Upload a Short — products with videos get significantly more visibility
- Buy upvotes or use bots (instant ban)
- Create multiple accounts to self-upvote
